“I can’t go on a day without a cup of coffee,” that’s what they say. Then you definitely could go on a day for a cup of latté with these three different baristas!
So, I’ve been to five different coffee shops nearby and I decided to differentiate each of them by finding out their thing which could make people head over heals in love with their coffee. Let’s get started with the first coffee shop,
Canteen Location: Pacific Place, Jakarta. Price: 35 IDR
Really love the ambience of this restaurant. A classic place with classic menus. The waiter came serving the caffe latte that I ordered. And this is how they served it,
I simply adore the tools they played for serving the coffee by concerning the consumers who perhaps don’t prefer sweet latte by separating it with liquid sugar instead of granulated sugar. For the coffee, it tasted quite more creamy than the coffee itself to me. But however, the plum cake was also very tasty, I was in love with it.
1/15 Coffee Location: Gandaria St, Jakarta. Price: 36 IDR
I was introduced to this coffee shop by my friends. This place was come up with the term of ‘they say’. When I found myself in the downstairs of this place, I found it really messy. The first thought that came out was, “maybe it is under-construction”. I went upstairs and found the real ambience of 1/15 Coffee.
This one looks much simpler than before. The barista tended to concentrate on the creativity with its coffee instead of the art of plating with basic tools. This one tasted much bitter which means this latte is a real coffee. I also like the way they claim their mug by putting the logo of 1/15 Coffee on it which is very ambitiously uniquely interesting.
Djournal Coffee Location: Grand Indonesia, Jakarta Price: 45 IDR
Smells of coffee were all around. The coffee enthusiasts must love it so much. In this coffee shop, the coffees are vary and it is distinguished with espresso-based or coffee-based. Because of that difference, the price is vary indeed.
Since the beauty of coffee is relative to people, this is actually the best one to me. I like the complexity of the Djournal’s barista made for this coffee. The taste was also very balance between the bitterness and the sweetness indeed. The blue mug that they served for their coffees are actually creative to show people that their ideas are simply out-of-the-box.
That’s all for this weekend! I had so much fun visiting these coffee shops and also tasting their coffee. If you have any recommendations for another coffee shop that you want me to review, kindly contact my email (contact@stylebychia.com). Have a great weekend! 🙂
