Eco-Friendly Outfit Collections in Jakarta Fashion Week 2018

Happy Weekend, Guys! We are almost in the end of October, which means Halloween is on its way to come thought my country does not celebrate Halloween but I love the idea of Horror movies are rolling on Fox Channel. Haha!

So, I was invited by Cotton Ink, a local fashion brand from Indonesia to come to Jakarta Fashion Week 2018 at Grazia Glitz and Glam Show last week. Since I have often heard about Grazia Magazine, it made more excited to see the show.

Since the theme is “Divas in Music”, I was actually going to wear something more colorful but in the end, I decided to go back to my own fashion zone. Monochrome, as always. 

 

I totally love my cape coat I got from Ciel. Although this cape was meant to show my collarbone and arm, since I wear hijab, I wore a blouse with bell sleeve from The Executive and trouser suit from Color Box. To elevate my super monochrome outfit, I wore a chunky necklace I got somewhere in Australia and my all time favorite high heels from Nine West. Not to forget my favorite black and white Tote Bag from Kate Spade New York.

The show should had been started around 5 pm but turned out at 6.30 pm. The delay was super outrageous since there were not seats at all and all guests were somehow wanted to stand, socialize, and drink.

However the long line up was truly worth the wait after the show had been started. The front lines were full with designers and public figures. Most of the people in the tent were mostly invited privately.

First show started with the collection of Rinda Salmun. The gothic style she was inspired from Madonna made the ambience more exciting. I spotted Wulan Guritno in a long white sleeve which covered her hands over there. I loved her make up.

 

And here are the designs from Kleting Titis Wigati who owns Kle The Label. The shown outfits were the results of Kle’s collaboration with Avani. The woman with big red outer in the first picture is the best look for me!

And here is the one that I have told in the beginning, the collection of Nonita Respati from Purana Indonesia is the one that could show its point of difference. The outerwear itself is made from Cassava bag with quilted sew. These collections were inspired by the look of Gwen Stefani.

 

Now this is the collection from Cotton Ink. All designs were inspired from Kylie Minogue. Carline Darjanto and Ria Sarwono, as founder of Cotton Ink showed some sleeveless trench outer, ruffle skirt, baby terry dress with bubbly sleeve, and palazzo trouser.

 

Last but not least, collections from Luna Maya with the collaboration of Hartono Gan were inspired from the look of Beyonce. The show was started with Millane Fernandez’s performance singing “Single Ladies”.

Soo, that was the updates of how fashion has grown so far in Jakarta Fashion Week 2018. Recalling that Climate Change issue has been growing rapidly, sometimes it is good to know that fashion is also taking part in combating the issue by implementing eco-friendly materials.
