I am so glad that I finally reached to the point where I don’t need to get overthink about papers anymore, yes, semester break is coming already!
This time as a part of Beatitude section, I will now be adding more content with vlog named Her Journal. This week’s vlog is Afternoon Coffee which took place in Giyanti Coffee Jakarta.
I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did when making it😋 I really love the ambience in that coffee shop near Menteng because they really have perfect lighting for pictures and the air itself is not that hot though Jakarta’s weather has always been a mess with its pollution.
I ordered for the cold latte and hot latte at the same time which are the best companion for afternoon coffee.
Here is the way to the entrance as you have seen on the vlog. Very rustic, very authentic.
For the outfit itself, actually I just came from Jakarta City Hall for the opening ceremony of Jakarta Model United Nations 2017. Thus my outfit seemed quiet formal yet I tried to combine it as casual as possible. For the shirt inside, I got it from Cotton Ink whilst the leather outer from Zara.
For the patterned trouser, I got it from The Executive. I have always loved this trouser because patterned bottom always elevates the way someone’s dresses. For the mini leather bag, I got it from Pedro. Watch from Fossil and the pointed black flat shoes from Mango.
So, that’s all I got for this weekend. A vlog and a fashion inspiration which I hope could be the preference of you weekend. What do you guys think? Ever been to Giyanti or probably ever been to MUN simulation? Share what you think below and have a great weekend! 🙂
Hello! It’s good to be finally back to another weekend because I have got something to show you, especially for those who are fond of coffee that much.
I recently received some products from local beauty brand in Bali, Kohvee Story. They are beauty products originally made from coffee and I was informed that their products contain antioxidant, detoxifier, anti-inflammatory, and absolutely the strong scent of coffee.
Honestly this is the first time for me to wear beauty products made from coffee so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try one, would it?
Skin moisturizer has always been the first thing to satisfy my desire in maintaining my skin health. I have heard a lot that caffeine is good for skin, especially in protecting from UV radiation. The first time I applied this product and rubbed it all over my arms and legs, I fell in love with the strong coffee scent and how it saturated with the skin.
For the texture itself, I found it a bit oily and too fluid as I expected it more dense. However I love how my skin starts to smell like coffee and feels smoother after applying it. I use this product twice a day for better result.
And this is my favorite one because it is a multifunction product where it can be used for face massage and makeup remover which I believe everyone should have this one especially for traveling because you can get two products with two different functions at once.
I usually massage my face with this cleansing oil with two pumps once per three days, it feels very satisfying for relaxation after a long day of school and work. The result on my face this far, it feels smoother and I just love how it soothes my skin that quick.
I think that’s all I have about Kohvee Story. Honestly I totally recommend their products, especially the coffee cleansing oil since that is my favorite one. Have you ever tried it before? If not, would you? Tell me what you think below and share your thoughts with the world!
Have a great weekend and I also would like to send my deepest regards to you who are going to celebrate the Eid Mubarak tomorrow, I hope you all have a great time with your family. Happy holiday! ❤
“I can’t go on a day without a cup of coffee,” that’s what they say. Then you definitely could go on a day for a cup of latté with these three different baristas!
So, I’ve been to five different coffee shops nearby and I decided to differentiate each of them by finding out their thing which could make people head over heals in love with their coffee. Let’s get started with the first coffee shop,
Canteen Location: Pacific Place, Jakarta. Price: 35 IDR
Really love the ambience of this restaurant. A classic place with classic menus. The waiter came serving the caffe latte that I ordered. And this is how they served it,
I simply adore the tools they played for serving the coffee by concerning the consumers who perhaps don’t prefer sweet latte by separating it with liquid sugar instead of granulated sugar. For the coffee, it tasted quite more creamy than the coffee itself to me. But however, the plum cake was also very tasty, I was in love with it.
1/15 Coffee Location: Gandaria St, Jakarta. Price: 36 IDR
I was introduced to this coffee shop by my friends. This place was come up with the term of ‘they say’. When I found myself in the downstairs of this place, I found it really messy. The first thought that came out was, “maybe it is under-construction”. I went upstairs and found the real ambience of 1/15 Coffee.
This one looks much simpler than before. The barista tended to concentrate on the creativity with its coffee instead of the art of plating with basic tools. This one tasted much bitter which means this latte is a real coffee. I also like the way they claim their mug by putting the logo of 1/15 Coffee on it which is very ambitiously uniquely interesting.
Djournal Coffee Location: Grand Indonesia, Jakarta Price: 45 IDR
Smells of coffee were all around. The coffee enthusiasts must love it so much. In this coffee shop, the coffees are vary and it is distinguished with espresso-based or coffee-based. Because of that difference, the price is vary indeed.
Since the beauty of coffee is relative to people, this is actually the best one to me. I like the complexity of the Djournal’s barista made for this coffee. The taste was also very balance between the bitterness and the sweetness indeed. The blue mug that they served for their coffees are actually creative to show people that their ideas are simply out-of-the-box.
That’s all for this weekend! I had so much fun visiting these coffee shops and also tasting their coffee. If you have any recommendations for another coffee shop that you want me to review, kindly contact my email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Have a great weekend! 🙂
